I was only able to get a preview summary from the authorhouse website, and the Amazon.com page shows only the book cover, with no reviews yet written. However, from the preview summary I can say this much:

I like the symbolism of wrecked lives residing within a wrecked castle. The rocks, boulders, half a wall and graveyard image conjures a picture of despair and something, once rich and splendid, now broken. The dungeon maybe reminiscent of torture seen or endured in their past.

There is an echo of 'Waiting for Godot' here ... the two of them surrounded by pines, with the man just watching the fast trains crossing the bridge to somewhere else - whereas the girl dotes on one small, proud flower poking its head through the ashes of the ruins. The longing within their souls is echoed in the name of the trees which surround them.

The review mentions his love of fauna - whilst also stating that the area is devoid of animals or birds. She, on the other hand, loves flora - and has her one proud flower to love ... echoes here of 'The Little Prince'.

The review acknowledges the beauty surrounding them, the lake on one side of the castle and the mountain on the other side. And one wonders why they do not see hope in this - decay surrounded by beauty. But the review, here again, only mentions that she is dissatisfied that the sun does not set on the lake instead of behind the mountain. East versus West maybe?

So far .... I wonder whether they take any comfort at all in each other, and whether either one inspires the other to build whatever good they can on their 'rocky foundations'. The picturesque vista suggests that there is great hope that they might.
