This most definitely must be done face to face, be sure to tell them you were happy in your position and you weren't LOOKING for another job but another opportunity has come up and you are going to take it. Be sure to tell them what a great experience you had with their organization and you will do everything to make the transition with the next person for you position as smooth as possible. Now if they offer you more money or benefits to stay with their company, you will have to choose which one sounds like the better job. Good Luck and NEVER EVER BURN BRIDGES......

I would go speak to your boss/manager in private and just explain to them what's going on. Say you've enjoyed working here but have found a better opportunity. Thank them for their time and the opportunity. And yes, I would definately give 2 weeks notice.

Go to your superior or boss and ask to speak with them privately. Tell them that you have appreciated the work experiece with them but it is time for you to move on and that you are officially putting in a two weeks notice. If you have a job lined up already you might get lucky and they'll let you leave early. But the best thing to do is be polite and informative about things.

write a resignation letter explaining why you quit your job and send it to your superior. I think 2 week notice is enough. Just tell them that your new job will start in 2 weeks but dont have to worry sice you will finish your job or you will not left your job hanging..

type up a letter stating that you have found better employment, and although you enjoyed working for them, its time for you to move on. let them know of your last day and submit it to your boss 2 weeks before you leave. being nice gets a good refrence later on.
