In all of these political discussions I've yet to see a well thought debate presented by a right wing mind. You may not like the left but we are more prone to discussion as adults.

Feel free to present an open point of view we can debate, without namecalling... such as paper voting verification, gay rights, holding our current leadership accountable...

I'm glad to see a few right minds made a modest attempt at dialoge. Unfortunately most of you missed the opportunity.
Trouble, Straightup and misusjonz thanks for thinking before answering, perhaps a few more might want to make good use of the question.

I am not a democrat, but not likely ever to support this current administration.

I mearely expect my government to act like servants to the whole of the people, not act like royalty.

Liberal means "open", open to other ideas and perspective...any side not open to that, fails my test completely.

They typically can't discuss things rationally because anger and fear don't lend themselves to rational discussion.

I'd especially like to hear why they disagree with paper voting verification &/or gay marriage, beyond just the hate-mongering type of answers.

What drives me crazy is that the fall back for many of the people on the far right is that the president is a muslim that wasn't even born here, wants the country to be a communist dictatorship, and might possibly be the antichrist. If those people actually went after the president like adults, and cited their stances with a reliable source for their disdain I'd listen respectfully even if I disagreed. List the credentials, or lack there of about these issues that upset you. The thing is we don't live in a dictatorship, and people are allowed to have opinions that don't align with mine. I can't respect a stance that is just blatantly a hateful diatribe that makes no sense though. Some people on the right do believe they have fact. It's just that it comes from Faux news, so has no validity in the grand scheme of things. Whenever mentioning the fact that they are statistically the most uninformed viewers they just yell, and say you're wrong. How can I debate with a person who doesn't understand math? I can't. I did the leg work, it doesn't work. I use logic and fact, sadly the extreme right don't do the same.

At the current time it is actuallly the Democrats that are riding on the mistakes of Republican individuals rather than offer solutions to fix mistakes the complain of. Unless you don't have a tv, a radio, or you live in small town you would know this.

I don't necessarily side with one party or the other, however, I do know that conservatives favor requiring I.D. to vote, but for somereason they aren't as quick to want to go a background check when purchasing a gun.

There have been plenty of Republicans stand up to the President and other Republicans who have made errors or they need to be kept in check. There are numerous Republicans running now that have distanced themselves from the President.

The gay marriage issue is difficult, but I think the conservatives feel the way they do for moral purposes and also historical. Morally, the binding of a man and woman for the purpose of creating a family, i.e., producing offspring, and for creating the optimal environment for those children (understood that it doesn't always exist in the world today, but where a child can have the influence of both a solid mother and father, with their related characters, it is a great situation) has been around since the beginning of the world. Why change that. Many Republicans are not against civil unions, just changing an institution that was created for a purpose and has been the foundation of society back as far as we know.

Everyone should be accountable. I may vote Democrat, but I need to see a platform. We need to push for this, because they really don't have one now. Hopefully by 2008 they will.

Not a problem there, ScooterJ. I myself have presented well thought out arguments but alas, do not get the attention. I think name calling is stupid and adds nothing to the discussion except to tell everyone who is thoughtful to avoid those people. By the way, I've seen name calling on both sides, so it isn't especially fair to lump it all on the right wingers. Oh, and one more thing, I am a right winger. Anytime you want to have a sensible debate let me know. Thanks.

I'd be more than happy to debate any issue you would want. I have my email available to anyone who wishes to discuss anything. And I have asked many many questions to liberals asking them to present me one platform or issue they can support with logic or facts, and all the answers I get are people accusing me of how ignorant I am. Three days later the question is removed, because the Liberals do not want it up there to embarass them anymore.

And by "thoughtful debate" you mean personal attacks towards anyone who disagrees with the left's position? For example, when anyone speaks to the issue of gay marriage, if they are for marriage being only between a man and a woman, they are labeled homophobic or close minded. whereas when the so called "progressives" come out for something that is totally against the fabric of society, you call yourselves "enlightened". I will debate anyone anytime on the merits of MY beliefs, and I will have facts to back them up, not rhetoric and talking points.

Some just don't have a free mind. Majority of Right Wing's is based on acceptance not individuality.

Being afraid to discuss the issues in a substantive way is hardly a right wing thing.

PLEASE! and you don't think Democrats are JUST as guilty as republicans???? all BOTH sides do in here is name call!!! if you expect to get any good debate, don't start out being ridiculous to begin with

BY THE WAY ~ every question that is presented to the opposing party is always in a way already biased and rude, so when the other party answers with ACTUAL FACTS... they get shut down. If you don't believe me, I will do some serious research and post them for you because I have seen some asshole questions from Dems and some really good answers from republicans.

you are VERY wrong in your wording of your question

The Left Wing has no issues that are worth debating or discussing......
Except for them wanting to turn this nation into a socialist/ communist failure.
