What are some good toys to buy for christmas?

I'm trying to do my shopping early. I have 2 nephews to buy for. Age 10 and 7. What is a good present they would like at an affordable price? I have no ideas yet.

boys that age love transformers, bionicals (action figures), you sould always go for some star wars or avatar toys, the shell shocker is a favorite of my 7 year old brother, and remote controll cars/motorcycles are a fun thing too

I would ask them for a list. Pick something from the list that is realistic and something that will last.
