Any advice would be helpful!!!?
I have my driving test tomorrow at 9.07am, I am a bit nervous and excitied at the same time, I have been revising and I have been taking two lesson a week since the begining of June. I love driving and I have a car sitting outside my house ready to go so no pressure ( not much!!). Has anyone recently passed/failed their test or remember what is was like, or what sort of things they ask you to do, any advice on what its all about would be great. Thankyou. xx

Well i took and passed my test first time six years ago. When i had a practice test i was told i was a huge accident waiting to happen but sill passed -so you've got no worries! Try to relax, a few nerves are good as they hate people too cocky. try and forget that there is someone in the car with you. do everything more cautious then you would usually i.e. look around lots when you are reverse parking etc. Use your mirror loads - when you change speed, turn a corner - anything - check you're mirrors.be conifident!!get a good night's sleeps. GOOD LUCK - you will pass!!!

Hello ,driving test lol that was a breeze just like drive with your mom or dad for the first time lol.just chill out and relax and you will do fine.depending on where you live the test will be a little different but here you only have to drive around about 4 blocks park on a hill, go threw a few red lights not much just remember to buckle up and make sure that the instructor buckles up before you put the keys in the car.

Good luck. That is a great time to have it as (depending on where you live) there will be rush hour traffic which means you don't have to drive as much as you will be sat in jams!

Make sure you allow plenty of room between you & the car in front of you when stopping- you should be able to see the bottom of the wheels of the car in front.

Your instructor would not have put you in for the test if they did not feel you were ready so you have nothing to worry about.

If your know the theory....backwards you all most there. Take two mild trancs. and a brandy,,,suck lots of mints. relax and remember, the driving instructer is just an instructer, proberbly a bad driver. What I understand about the failures is reversing and touching the curb with the wheel. That, will fail you. I do not drive, but I know a lot of people that do...so into. galore. basically keep calm, do not hesitate, but take your time. you are in control, not the bloody instructer, and whatever you do, always look in the back mirror, indicate at all times, and do not wish to put the radio on...best of luck.......

I did the most amazing Kangaroo Petrol cough, cough type start right at the beginning of my test. I thought I'd failed from that moment and as a result relaxed and treated the test as another driving lesson. It was brilliant, I didn't worry that he was still writing things down and didn't even listen to what he said to me after we'd pulled back into the Test Centre car park. It was only when my driving instructor got back into the car and told me I'd passed, that I realised he'd still been testing me. It still makes me smile now. I was so sure I'd failed!

When you look at your 3 mirrors, make sure you actually move your head a little, if you just move your eyes the examiner cant see you do it and will think you aren't looking behind you.

And try to keep to the speed limits!

And for gods sake dont run anyone over!

Relax with a (as in one ONLY) drink tonight and get an early night, you'll be more alert that way.

Just relax. I know everyone says that. But seriously, all you're doing is taking someone different in the car with you. You are going to, in the future, have to take passengers in your car. They will want a driver that is alert, knows what they are doing and can navigate through traffic safely.
Ad be very aware of other idiots who don't indicate at roundabouts and junctions.
Good luck, let us know how you got on.

Where I live, they almost always fail you the first time. Don't be intimidated though, and try to relax. Make sure you get plenty of sleep, being hungover is not a good idea.

Make sure you use your turn signals, look both ways, make sure you can paralell park and do a 3-point turn. Use the parking brake.
