does anyone remember the movie that came out around the same time as elvira?

it had a butler in it and the story line was somthing like someone had faked their death or somthing like that....i remember wathing it as a kid but cant remember it now.....i would really appreciate if someone could tell me the name of it

Murder by Death perhaps? Great movie, and it sounds like what your looking for....its a spoof on the murder mysteries.
