Java Runtime Environment (or JVM) is a Windows program that is buggy at best. When you get that error, it means the .dll linked to the JVM failed to perform the task needed for a Java Script. This could be cause due to a corrupted file, an improperly written or executable file or any number of reasons.

Microsoft created JVM to bypass using a true Java from Sun. If you having problems with the JVM, go to www.sun.com and download the Java from there. You should have less errors using Sun Java.
