First of all, the Devil was not born. He was created by God as an angel, but rebelled against God and was cast out of heaven. I believe this all happened before time began, and certainly before any human beings had established any calendars!

It's true that some people use Halloween for Satanic purposes. That doesn't mean that you have to! You can use Halloween as a day to face scary things with humor and courage--or you can use it simply as a day to have fun!

I don't believe in the devil - so I don't believe in its birthday either.

Halloween was originally a Pagan Holiday. It is when "the veil" is thinnest between this world and the world of the afterlife.

Today - in our society it's become a chance to dress up - have parties - trick or treat - and eat lots of candy. I believe it is my very favorite holiday - and I feel sorry for the children of religious parents who will not let them take part.

Even if there were a devil - I don't think Halloween would have anything to do with him/her/it. Except it's a fun costume!

Happy Halloween!

It is a bastardization of a pagan holiday commemorating the dead. Pope Gregory (some number) moved all saints day to November 1st to assimilate those that were resistant to change their traditions. Easter, I believe, has a similar relationship with pagan traditions. I guess its better than violent conquest. Most liken it to evil because pagans were often portrayed as heathens with out any moral code. Not to mention that their practice of dressing up to scare evil spirits can just look nefarious without knowing the reason behind it. It is just the same as gargoyles. They look evil, but the idea is to scare a way evil.

The Devil was never really 'born', like God. Some people associate Halloween with evil, but it really has nothing to do with it.

No.

It WAS a pagan festival holiday. Some modern churches have claimed the holiday is devil worship. But the holiday really has nothing to do with the devil.
