Freddy Kreuger (A Nightmare on Elm Street), Jason Voohrees (Friday the 13th), or Michael Meyers (Halloween)?

I'm sad to say, but even as a child, none of them scared me. They never seemed like real people that would do something like that.

What do you all think?

My parents never let me watch those movies b/c my imagination was too vivid. I thank them, now... I've seen all three characters, and I do believe that the scaries one was Michael Meyers, because his was the only "human" character, but ONLY in the first film. The sequels weren't the least bit scary simply because of the unrealistic supernatural twists to his character.... How many times do they kill that dude, like 12???

The scariest movie I ever saw as a kid wasn't a horror movie at all. It was "The China Syndrome"...

Honestly I never saw those movies when i was a kid, but I just saw all of them and out of all of them Michael Myers has succeeded in giving me the most nightmares and creeping me out. He scares me to death because you never know where he is because he is so silent and kills people suddenly. And he's there one mintue and gone the next, i had a dream the other night where he was chasing me and when i woke up, I saw the outline of his figure over me by my bed(i was half awake too) and it scared me to death.

But as a child, Jaws scared me the most. When i first saw the movie, I wouldn't go near the ocean or a pool. I always could see this shark fin rise out of the water and eat me. And then when i would have nightmares, his fin would rise out of the floor or something in them and he would terrorize me. That was my monster...

But Freddy is only scary cuz he kills ppl in their dreams. Jason is a joke. he was only scary in like 3 out of his bazillion movies...

I agree with Willie Wonka. Gene Wilder gave me nightmares for months. I would wake everyone up screaming. Something about his hair and his eyes. And of course, the oompa loompas. I would fuse them with the candy comercial version. They'd have sharp pointy teeth, and butcher knives. Gene would be standing over my bed, with a dagger, that crazy smile that goes across his entire face with the sharp teeth. The midgets would fan out behind him like a deck of cards and stab me to death. It was not a happy time in my life. I still have the dreams occasionally.

When I was like 7, I watched this terrifying movie called"Suspiria" about these witches and they freaked me out so bad, I cried for monthes and could not sleep or eat. This is by a cool director named Dario Argento.

Strangely it was the trees in the forrest in Snow-white.After she had wandered alone and was happy in the daylight then gradually as it got dark the trees became spooky and tried to grab her.I had bad dreams about that for ages afterwards.
