Take the First Response at home test -- it's very sensitive. Go back to your Dr. for a blood test too. It's possible that you're just late, it's only been 7 days...

It seems that by today there would be enough hCG (the chemical that appears in your blood and urine 5 days after conception) to determine if you are positively pregnant. You're tests should be pretty accurate.

It is not an old wives tale......stressing about will further delay it. If you. Conception generally takes place 10-15 days AFTER the first day of your last period; so if that day was 9/21 and sex on 10/7, that would put you at day 17, and conception is possible. However, when you add a condom and negative test results to the equation I would say, "NO".

I am a victim of irregular periods so I know what you mean by hormonal imbalances. Your period is probably on the way. Get that second test if it will make you feel better, but relaz and enjoy being period-free! :)

Good Luck!

Go back in when you're supposed to, if you haven't started your period. You sound like you're pregnant. A negative test being wrong is more common than a positive being wrong. The test is based on hormones and in some women the hormone levels are so low that unless you do a blood test, you'll get a negative. For others, you can see it in the urine test, but it takes an extra week or two. If the test on Thursday comes back negative and you think you are, then see if they can do a blood test instead.
