I'm 35 weeks pregnant and I have been having pains in my groin is this the babys head pushing or what. I lost my mucous plug on thursday (or some of it anyway) I have talked to the hospital because I have had some very scary and severe dizzy spells but I have been trying to remain somewhat active. But I had this groin pain once or tice but I have had it like 5 times today just wondering what it is. The nurses said on saturday I should be good till my doctor's appointment which is tomorrow. I have also had some bad back pain which on saturday I couldn't even roll over.

its your babies head pushing down on your pelvis cause the ligaments have softened it will cause pain in your pelvis has 3 ligaments 2 at back and one at the front in ther groin it will prob hurt when you climb stairs and things that involve standing on one leg like putting your knickers on! dont worry only 5 more weeks if that good luck xxx

yes, i am experiencing this very same thing. im 36 weeks. i went to the er last tues and wed because of contractions. the babys head is pressing down and i can't even sit still much less lie down. it is probaly a combination of the muscles getting ready to deliver and the babys head putting pressure on you. the dizzy spells are probaly from a rise in blood pressure or from standing up too quickly.
just lie down and take it easy, that is about all you can do. be sure to mention your dizzy spells to your dr tommorow.
good luck

I remember those pains! I was told that it was the pressure of the baby moving down in the birth canal.

Good Luck!
