Java programs written for The Sun VM can be run just about anywhere, usually without recompiling for different platforms. That's a pretty cool feature.
On the other hand, it takes a bit of work to get a Java program running properly in J#, and programs that you write in J# take a fair bit of work to get out and back into a Java-compatible form. The only time a Java programmer would want to work with J# is if they needed to interoperate with a .NET Framework component in a platform native way (because normally, using web services would be easier.)
Most Java programmers working in .NET would probably just go right to C#, because that way at least they can toss another programming language on the resume.

J# is not portable, which is really one of the main advantages of Java. Microsoft has a long history of trying to undermine Java's ability to run on any platform, since if significant amounts of software are written in Java, it won't matter if you run windows, or Linux, or OS X, etc. This is very scary for a company that makes its money selling a particular operating system.
So, you can see that the goals of Java are in direct conflict with Microsoft's business model. Microsoft won't do anything good for Java, and J# is an obvious example.

Its a marvelous checklist. You cant flow incorrect with maximum of them. I might desire to consider the OC comments. notice or Jewels is a might desire to suitable 50 no longer to show a hundred for me. lol @ the 40 days > speed of life remark. Now Am I incorrect or did I no longer see ninety 3 Til' in this checklist? How is that no longer a suitable a hundred? Disappointing after seeing your different question approximately Hiero being underrated. As consistently Del dominates the final of lists, however you cant fairly agrue that. Edit: @ lifelike, I gave you a thumbs up. I consider Illmatic remark and dont sense you ought to be thumbed down on your opinion.
