You are automatically entitled to grants AS LONG AS you can prove you heritage to the Lakota tribe!!
Standing Rock doesn't have financial counselors???
Get a hold of leaders in you tribe or at the nearest Lakota reservation!!!
If all else fails call your local government agencies and they should be able to head you in the right direction!!

Good Luck!!

Go through your nation. They would have the best info. There are BIA grants available to most tribes, and your nation may have a grant program of their own.
Unfortunately, it is a myth that Native Americans get to go to school for free based solely on their tribal status. You might find a $1,000 grant here and there, but don't be totally shocked if you have to dig yourself $50K in the hole.

You could do what the rest of us do and bury yourself in debt via student loans, work a couple part-time jobs, and eat nothing but Mr.Noodle.
