The top two off the top of my head are Alfonso Soriano, and Barry Zito. I'm not quite sure but if I'm not mistaken Andrew Jones is also a free agent.

Soriano of the Nationals, Zito of the A's and Schmidt of the Giants. Bonds is on the downside of his career and won't command the attention of these 3 free agents. Also, someone will take a chance on Kerry Wood but he's always hurt and would be a big risk.

When you say that you think of guys like Soriano, Zito, Beltran, Perdro or Vteck but the best is a pitcher from Japan i dont remember his name but he was the MVP of the World Baseball Classic and is dominating in Japan the only question is if he will come to the US to play which I think he will because he is getting bored over there.
