I just want to know if theres any issues with the extra RAM being automatically recignized by the opperating program? luckily, the motherboard has an extra expansion slot so its just a drop-in procedure. I also have 5 pci slots and would like some ideas on what cards (sound tv video etc.) would be worth it to try out?

Read your motherboard users guide! Get the name and model number of your motherboard and use that to get the RIGHT RAM for your motherboard.

Neither I or anyone else can tell you the right RAM for your system because we do not know the manufacturer and the model number of your motherboard. That information is required in order for you t purchase the correct RAM.

One other way is to take out one of the original sticks of RAM that is now in your motherboard and use the information on it to purchase additional RAM.

Still you need to read your motherboard users guide because different motherboards want the RAM install in to the Slots Differently.

the best PCI video card you can probably get is a GeForce 6200 or a GeForce FX 5500

as far as the ram, it shouldnt be an issue. More likely than not you'll be able to just stick the ram in and be on your way (as long as the type is right for your motherboard).
