Believe it or not, exercising helps me. After a good run I am more likely to be willing to sit down and read the text, which I hate!
Or you could take a couple of speed reading courses. It will help you learn to read it faster and be able to understand it better without having to spend hours and hours reading the text assignments.
Other motivators. The average bachelors degree costs somewhere in the area of $50,000!!! (That doesn't include housing that is just classes and materials!) If that isn't a good motivator, then I don't know what is~
Good luck!

Regardless of how your teacher may be, and wanting a good career (which everyone does); the only thing you should be concerned with, is doing your very best.
Meaning:
Be in the moment, and do the best can do in that moment.
Don't worry about the final outcome ( ie. grades) , or the reward for your efforts (ie. good career).
Just do a good job, for the sake of doing a job well done.
You'll find that this will provide the motivation you think you require; and will also make you feel more satisfaction in all that you accomplish.

Get some exercise.
Get into a routine of doing the same ammount of work per day, nearly everyday of the week.
Reward yourself as frequent as you like, but only once you have completed the work you set yourself to do for that day/week. This step is very important.
Don't go out with mates when you should have work to do as this will encourage you them and you to do it again. Your friends should respect you have work to do and let you get on with it before you come out with them.
Get drunk.

Think of all the money you will be earning and the look on that horrible teachers face when your earning thousands. Just put on some music while you do it, dont think of it as a chore think of it as a piece of cake.
