To erase the files, connect the flashdrive to a computer and then open up the My computer icon, and click on the Different drive letters until you find the one that opens up your flashdrive. Delete everything on there by pushing delete. Thats it!

Check the drive itself. There is often a physical switch that will lock the drive. Make sure that isnt on. Then, simply open my computer, open the flash drive, right click a file, and select delete.
NOTE: if the files are in read only, they will not delete. to check this, right click the file, select properties, then the general tab, and the checkbox at the bottom labeled read only should not be checked.

you will ought to format the USB tension. maximum possibly, the information are hidden or there's a shortcut to the particularly website. attempt to instruct off the internet then plug it in, does the internet website comes up? if so, that's on the strain itself. format it! sometimes, USB drives could have many partitions...or "drives" interior itself. to illustrate, I actual have one specific for artwork, it has 6 drives, as quickly as I plug it in it turns into m:/, n:/, o:/, p:/, q:/ and r:/. verify you format the applicable one! many of the time, theses are small and puny drives that are made for advertising so do no longer assume many GB of information!

Go into my computer. There will be a bunch of drives (hard drive, cd drive, etc.) Under devices with removable storage there will be one called Removable Disk and then a letter. Go into it and right click on what you want to delete, then delete it.
