The Sith Lord used played off of Anakim's weakness. HIs emotions. Just watch the three prequels again and you'll see how he was turned to the dark side. But I believe when he became Darth Vader I beileve Padme's death affected him more than anything else.

It was a terribly unconvincing moment where Anakin is fooled to believe that he needs to join the Sith to protect Natalie Portman. There really wasn't a quality build-up in terms of the first two prequels. There was a small hint here and there, but you can see that George Lucas didn't have the last 3 films properly prepared of how he'd do it.

Basically, he turned to the darkside because the Sith Lord told him that together they could save Padme. To save her, Anakin had to do whatever Palpatine told him to do.

So, the entire war and the countless lost lives was all because of a woman. Should've seen that coming.

he was a little bit stubborn he always was and I forget the guys name but the evil one gave him a seed of doubt and Anakin began to question things and when Padme died that brought him completly over to the dark side

he was always more powerful and emotional than other normal people and the dark lord manipulated him little by little, in the first episode when obi take his blood sample he says his dna (some complictaed word) is higher than anyons hes ever seen
