The most important thing is electricity because it powers up the computer. :) Without electricity, your 4GB of memory and the fastest processor wouldn't even run.

Other than electricity, I would say the CPU is the most important.

In most cases, yes. RAM, or random access memory, is what the PC uses to "think." The more it has, the faster it goes. The most a PC can hold is usually 2 GB. Normally, though, you only need about 512 MB. If you're into music, or video editing etc. you will need a big hard drive to store all that stuff. If you game then you will need a good graphics card, like 128 MB, which will run just about everything (256 MB isn't a bad idea, though) Finally, every byte of information in your PC has to go through the processor, which is the most expensive thing to upgrade (normally). One of these should run at about 2 Ghz, which I have, but faster is better. So overall, RAM is the most important thing that you can realistically upgrade, but a stick of RAM can still run you 70 to 80 bucks.

there is no one important part in the computer all the components are very important for the computer to work the way u want it to the most important would be the CPU,RAM,video card and the power supply.think about it the power supply gives the computer life or power.then with that power the brain or the cpu can then send out signals to all other parts, the ram is a part of the brain because its the memory of the computer it helps all your applications to run especially when u like things to work fast the more memory u have the faster your application will work, the video card is the eyes with out it then your computer is useless because u will not beable to see what u are doing.hope u understand that all the parts need each other to work same as the human body.but of course u would like your computer to be uptodate so better for u if u have each part.

Its either the processor or hard drive. The ram is important too when you run alot of applications at the same time and you need more memory.

I would say the power supply. It is often the most overlooked part and usually the cheapest part. You need to get a good amount of steady clean power to your computer parts.
