What is sexist listening. Is that when you listen form sexist remarks made by the person talking? Or is it when you are the sexist and you are listening?

If i am a sexist and hear only that which I believe is important to a male/female (for what ever situation you are in)...I learn less and am less open to new opportunities.

For Example, if cooking is woman's work, then I will not learn cooking as a man

I believe that "sexist listening" would limit one's ability to learn, more than influencing it. Sexism is discriminatory on the basis of sex/gender. Having a mindset limits one's ability to "understand" thus places limits on what one can learn.

I don't know if that's exactly what you were looking for in answers. I answered according to what I understood your question to mean.
