Why does my dell computer beep 6 long times when I turn it on and the screen stays dark?

call dell if you are under warentee. sounds like bad memory.

That's a hardware failure. You'll have to check with Dell for the specific error that six beeps indicates.

If you have the manual it may say what the beep sequence means. It may be faster to call Dell though.

this is what u call dell for or u have not installed drivers for video correctly
