I found several of the pay sites at low rates (such as $1.29/mo.), but I do not like submitting my credit card info. on the internet. I am looking for FREE sites with good quality music I can download & burn onto CD's only, please (mpeg and/or wav files). Are there even any free sites left? I used Morpheus last year, but now they charge a fee too!

Try the piratebay. www.thepiratebay.com. Its a great site, lets you search for the albums you want and if its on there you can download it for free. You dont download from the site itself so you have to get a program to download . its all in the site on how to download etc etc.
Or you can try newsgroups ,but the only problem there is that its alot more complicated.hope this helps.
