Don't bother with a line just be yourself & attempt to strike up a conversation. Find something you have in common like an interest in films/music/sport or whatever it hapens to be.
The worst line used on me has been 'do you have spanner eyes 'cos every time I look at you my nuts tighten'!!!

To get my fiance' I didn't use an opening "line" as such I just literally picked her up, and carried her away from the guy that was chatting her up, Dangerous if it backfires. Also, the guy who was doing the chatting worked at the same place as me and didn't look viciously happy

A big natural smile, a friendly "Hi", followed by telling her your name, then offer to get her some food / a drink.
- Most chat up lines are corney
- She's proberbly heard them all before
- Girls see through them straight away.
Be friendly, be polite, be yourself.

"hi how are you" is a good start. offer to get/buy her something to drink. Generally if she says yes she might be interested. if she refuses, take it like a man, and move on!!
