Information is power. I say yes. You don't have to tell her or anyone else. Just satisfy your self about what is bothering you about him.

Yes of course, but never ever tell your daughter what you did, because she will never trust you again. My husband did that to his younger sister long, long ago and he told his mother which in turn told her daughter and there relationship has never been the same. I do not understand why she is still angry with my husband she never married this man I feel he did her a favor this man has been in and out of jail for selling drugs. She is now married to this great man, but she still harbors’ something for this loser go figure. So what ever you do be as silent as the grave!

I too would say "better to be safe then sorry". Dont tell ur daughter, you can go ahead. There are a lot of preverts & disgusting creatures who have all the ill motives on earth. Be careful.

Check out http://background-records.net/
It is much cheaper than a PI and you can find virtually anything, about anybody. I use it all the time.
I recently found out my maid had been convicted of cocaine possession. FIRED!
