hiya mel. well it is a wax like coating that is clear but prevents the water molecules sticking to the surface that has been coated ie mirror or window. it repells the water by making it bead and thus allowing you to see better. like ran X' on a windsheild of a car or something on you mirror or glasses

what is anti-fog spray? Is it a fog sprayer that gets rid of creepy crawlers in your house? In that case you are suppose to follow the direction on the can and plan not to be in your house for a couple of hours including pets, plants, and anything else that may get fogged on.

It builds up a layer on the surface so steam / water cannot stick to it. Shaving cream also stop mirrors and windows from fogging up
