Unfortunately, its not that easy. Most people look not at the party, but the persons belief's. I think people want someone who is a conservative, that way, they wont raise taxes, and spend like a drunken sailor on leave. Most Liberals are good at taxing and spending, and creating a welfare need in our country.
Too bad independents don't stand a chance in our system, or at least, give us a " None of the Above" lever to pull.

Blue. Even if I'm not crazy about the local communist, I think that the fascists have had a chance, and not done too well. So, if nothing else, it is time for a change.
Having said that, I want to add that I'm voting absentee, because I am silly enough to want my vote physically counted. In this case, technology seems to be working against us, maybe a low-tech solution is best, and we go back to marking on paper.
