The biggest benefit of taking an AP course is the opportunity to take the AP test. If you pass it you get the college credit for that class on the beginning level. If you choose not to take the test, the class is wonderful prepartion for college and shows that you have a desire to set a higher standard for yourself academically than the norm when you apply for colleges. Some high schools offer more credits for them as there is more work required.

I actually took two AP courses my senior year: Ap Calc and Ap Environmental science. And depending on your score on the exam and what college you go to, you can recieve credit. I recieved creidt for both classes at the University of West GA, so I already have 7 credits as a freshman. These classes, if you don't get credit, def prepare you for what college classes are like

None unless you pass the exam for college credit. Trust me, I took AP's in High school, and I was just bored my first year of college because you end up taking the exact same things over again.
