Right before or right after is probably the first start or last few drops of your period. In between is probably just spotting... many women spot, particularly around ovulation. Don't worry about it.

If it is around two weeks after you start your period, it is probably ovulation. When you release the egg from your ovary, sometimes the mucous is blood tinged. If that is not the time, it happens, you may be spotting from your birth control pills. If you are still worried, go see your doctor. Good luck!

Some women might bleed/spot between periods at ovulation time. This is due to hormonal fluctuations. Or your periods just comes and goes slowly. I would have your doctor check it out to be on the safe side.

Is it possible that you could have a urinary tract infection? You can get a small amount of blood in your urine from the infection and it will look pinkish.

If you aren't sure, go and see your doctor! She or he will be better able to give you a proper diagnosis.
