I am sceduled for my check up next week, I will be almost 11 weeks at my visit and I am wondering will they use a dopplar to check my babys heart. I saw it flicker on my ultrasound when I was almost 7 weeks. I am just really nervous and am dying to hear that heartbeat, as my friend just miscarried at 9 weeks.

Theyy usually start to use the doppler at 12 to 14 week apts.but your OB may try ay 11 weeks. If they do not find the heart beat don't worry, it can be hard to find & detect up until 20 weeks the baby moves alot.

Yes it completely possible!! I'm 10 weeks today and heard my baby's heartbeat so you should hear it. However, keep in mind, that if you don't hear it really strong your baby may be having too much fun playing around in there and not staying still! Also, the best advice I ever received was, listen to your body, you will know if something isn't right. If you feel like everything's alright, then odds are they're fine! Good luck!

They could not hear the heartbeat on me at 11 weeks...becuase the baby was still under my pubic bone. As he/she moves up you will be able to hear it more. I did not actually hear mine till about 12/13 weeks. They saw it moving on the ultrasound, and eventually heard it after poking around alot!!! You can ask for the vaginal ultrasound...you may have had one earlier in pregnancy. They are not fun but you will be able to hear the heartbeat. You may get lucky though!!! Just talk to your doctor!!!

To be honest...I wish I had my own machine, so that I could hear it every night...I worry all the time!!! :)

Hi...I think chances are very good. However, I just had a visit to my doc 2 weeks ago, and they could not find it. I was 14 weeks 2 days. Doc said it was due to me being a thin little thing...he couldn't find the baby's heart beat because all he could pick up was mine! LOL!!
Sorry for your friend's loss, and I understand why you mentioned that...relax. Things should be fine! My doc did a quick ultrasound to show/hear the heart beat at my visit. Now I've had 3 visits and 3 ultrasounds. Next visit in 2 weeks I won't though...bummer. :-)

I had a intravaginal ultrasound at 6 weeks and saw and heard the baby's heartbeat clearly. If they can't hear it and you are dying to make sure it is ok, ask them to do this kind of ultrasound. It is a lot more accurate and not painful at all. Good Luck and I am sure your baby is just fine! Congrats!

i heard my baby's heartbeat at 6wks, 9wks, and at 12 wk. At 12 wks they actually did it with the doppler. Honestly i dont like the doppler bc i cant see the baby but its okay atleast i know the baby's ok.
I understand your concern or not wanting to wait bc i love 4 babies due to miscarriages all before the age of 6wks so this is the first time i ever got to actually hear the baby;s heartbeat and it was amazing.

good luck me due on 042407-------- 15wks

i became 10 weeks and my wellness care professional did no longer even attempt with the aid of fact he reported "We probly won't beable to hearken to it, yet you will locate it on your ultrasound". So i do no longer think of its uncommon specifically if he wasn't worried! Congrats and that i'm particular you would be waiting to hearken to it at your next bypass to
