They call him brother, and he calls Caroline mom, but I don't remember him being one of the family. Can anyone explain?

Frankie Brady arrived in Salem with a bang; Steve Johnson caught him trying to steal Kayla's purse. At the time, Frankie and his little brother Max were living in a dump, broke and desperate. Frankie and Max weren't actually brothers, though; they were on the run from Max's father Trent. The Brady clan took them in and eventually adopted them both.

Frankie was a runaway living in the docks, he found Max who had been abandoned by his parents. Max didn't speak due to the trauma he witnessed as a young child.Frankie would take care of Max. Steve found them living homeless and took them in. He wanted to foster them but because of his past he couldn't he got Kayla to help him ask her parents the Bradys to foster the 2 boys. Frankie lied and said Max was his little brother so they wouldn't be separated. The Brady's later adopted them. Max's real dad Trey showed up but then agreed to let them adopt Max. Max saw his mom murdered. Frankie turned out to be Charly's little brother who ran away from prep school. But he never felt wanted by his real parents, very rich royality, and stayed with the Bradys. He came to Salem because he knew Jenn Charly's prep school friend lived there. Max seems to have issues that we will learn about. I don't like him dating his nieces either. He is supposed to be the a year or 2 older than Sami. The new head writer is fixing this storyline and getting rid of family dating family. And the same family dating the same family, Bradys and Roberts.

His parents were friends of Caroline and Shawn and were killed. They were sent to live with them and they were then adopted by the Brady family.

Am I the only one freaked out by Max's relationships with Stephanie and Chelsea? They are both his nieces. Even though he is adopted his is still their uncle. That is just wrong.

He was adopted by them... he could not speak cause he was an abused child and they took him in....
i have been watching this show wayyyyy to long it seems!
