You mean your car was 6yrs old, yes it is posible to re- stitch, but there is something to consider, first to whom you have to take for repair, is he was expert for this model, is he has the complete stuff to perform repairing you cv. This is quite difficult task. Good luck!!!

My wife in an upholstery guru, she says it must be removed to give the best results, then repair depends on age and condition of the fabric. If it cannot be removed, you might consider a patch that can be glued and hand stitched.

Yes provided the top is still in good condition and has no tears where it needs to be sewn. Should be done at an automotive upholstery shop.
