Austin, Texas is the best city in the US.
It's a wonderful place to live, especially when you are young.
We have awesome lakes, running trails, hills.
We are home to the greatest university in the country, The University of Texas... GO HORNS!!
We are also known as the live music capital of the world.
Downtown Austin is home to the famous 6th street, with bars, music, and dancing.
You could eat somewhere for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for 365 days and still not explore every resturant this city has to offer!
It's a great place to live!
one con: it's pricey... but worth every penny!

first of all krystal obviously has never been to texas, yet alone austin. im pretty sure we are not just a state that has livestock and grows crops. Austin is becoming one of the greatest cities in the United States, if not the greatest. We have live music every night of the week, from country to rap, and everything in between. I have lived here my entire life, and cannot think of a greater city to grow up in. We're southern, so that means were generally very friendly, and mannerly; two things that we are proud of, but we are also a very urban city and there is always something to do. I seriously consider moving here. I can't think of a better place, and I've been to many places.

Austin is a great city, I love it. The school's fantastic. Second best accounting school in the nation, currently 5th-ranked football team (#1 last year), number one party school, number one baseball team summer 05...
Half an hour away is San Marcos, with a HUGEEE outlet mall. I think it's the biggest in the country. It has everything--Neiman Marcus, Lacoste, Nike, Liz Claiborne--everything you could ever imagine. So, yeah, shopping's good.
Traffic is bad around downtown. 35 and Lamar are always backed up in the afternoon. But the regular, surface streets aren't that bad.
Clubs....LOTS. Sixth street is known all over for the nightlife. Fifth street, SIXTH STREET, and seventh street are all crawling with bars and clubs. However, since UT just got the title of Number One Party School in the Nation from the Princeton Review, the cops have started to crack down a little more.

I don't like Texas. It's way too hot. But a lot of people find it a good place to live because of the good temperatures for raising livestock. And several different crops.
