Anyone have really old things in the attic?Does anyone still have an attic?!! Most of us are jealous of those movies where people go through their great grandmothers stuff, with all the moving around and apartments these days... who REALLY still has an attic?

My parents are from OK. and all my folks back there not only have attic's but 'cold cellars' and to this day I love going on treasure hunts whenever I visit, seems like there is always a new jewel to find that I missed the first time, my favorites are my great grandmothers 'fancy Sunday dresses' and hats, photos, gadgets that still boggle the mind, it's just pure fun! I got to take my daughter on her first treasure hunt a few years ago and she found several old coins from the mid to late 1800's and I found an old choker that is now back in style! These we got to keep and whenever we get them out we get to talk about our trip and spend time one on one, which I guess is our treasure, a gift from grandmother. I think you'd find what your looking for if you lived or had the chance to visit the old south :)

Ah, how I'd have loved to go through my grandmother's attic. She had a 140 year old Victorian house filled with treasures. The only thing in my attic besides mice is Christmas decorations and a wooden stroller that was mine as a baby.

I've had the opportunity to build a new home three 1/2 years ago. I made an attic. Have placed thing there just so some day when I'm good people can find them and thing. Why.

WEll I live in an apartment, and I don't have an attic. But that's what's grandpas house is for. I found a diary from my great grandmother when she was 13 or so, with signatures in it from her grandmother. Pretty neat!!

Most ALL houses have an attic or at the very least a storage or crawl space. Even some apartments have storage spaces that they allow renters to use.

I do. I'll let the grandkids and kids go thru all that stuff. Just to egg them on I told them my gold coin collection is spread amongst all the trunks and old suitcases up there.

i might flow to EBay and see if i ought to locate comparable products. bear in mind and merchandise is merely properly worth what somebody is prepared to pay for it. So don't be fooled via the sellers cost. consistently seem at auctions that have ended and function the perfect fees on them.

I know what you mean. Like in the movies. Alot of the old farmhouses and plantations do, I dont have a home that does, but alot of my relatives do.
