Absolutely - and in some states that's already starting to happen. Here in NY where I live it's legal for girls to be topless anyplace a guy can be. You're not going to see many girls strolling down the street topless, but many girls now take off their tops at regular "clothed" beaches without any problems. Some girls sunbathe topless in places like Central Park in New York City, and another girl and I played basketball topless in a pickup "shirts vs. skins" game in a park here on Long Island. Some people stopped to stare and the inevitable dirty looks were received from old ladies, but that was it. No problems, and we all had a good time (especially the guys, although they were just a bit distracted from their game!)
It was fun to be able to simply take off our shirts on a warm summer day and have the same fun that guys have been enjoying for years. Remember, it was supposedly illegal for guys to take off their shirts many years ago, so now it's our turn.

Yes, women should have the same rights as men.
No, women should not go topless, but neither should men.
I think women and men should both be covered up, unless they are on a topless beach and then go for it.
As far as only good-looking people only being allowed to go topless, it gives you the best reason EVER to cover up. You might think it is beautiful, and I might think it is nasty or vice versa.
Personally, I am 56, and go swimming a lot. Anyone doesn't want to look, look away, here I come. I have a RIGHT TO SWIM!
I have gone skinny-dipping in the ocean, and topless, too, but it was when I was young and beautiful.
This has ZERO to do with RIGHTS and everything to do with customs and mores of our society.

That has nothing to do with having the same rights. I'm a woman and I dont think its normal for women to be seen in public topless. By nature, women have body parts and functions that men don't have. Would it make them feel like MORE of a woman if they went around topless in public? Like... give it a rest already. Women need to relax with these equal rights and just appreciate that we are different from men. Since they passed the topless law in toronto i've yet to see a topless woman walking around in the city. What are women missing out on by not being able to walk around topless? aside from dirty old men staring and perverts looking for prey, i'd say nothing. suck it up and wear a shirt

It would be fine with me. But you can change the laws all you like but 99% of the women will still keep their tops on. If women really wanted to sunbath topless on the beach far more of them would risk it and take their tops off. Case in point how many women do you know go faster than the posted speed limit? How many run a stop sign? or a red light? The fact that policeman give out 500,000 speeding tickets nation wide every year should give you that answer. If the same thing happened with topless sunbathing on the beaches within a few years the laws would change to reflect it. If there is no safety issue involved the laws will evolve to reflect public opinion.

Of course they should have the same rights. Although I'd rather see the guys have to cover up than the women be allowed to go topless too - but as long as they have equal rights it's fine with me.
In Ontario there was actually a court case a few years ago that made women going topless legal.

Sure we should be allowed but in todays society even if we were allowed not many women would feel comfertable enough to walk around topless. I also think that since its been hidden in public for so long, if the rules changed and women started walking around topless it might bring unwanted attention.

I say yes but society is still back there. It will be a while.
Like politics, culture has to mature and move on. Eventually, when today's generation gets into government and become the movers and shakers of the country you will see the change. Not sure if it will deal with nudity but, no reason not to if someone fights for the right.

Only people with good bodies should be allowed to go topless. I don't want to look at fat, flabby, stretchmarked or pasty on anyone...men or women!

They should, but they won't. Basically a chest is a chest, a female's is just generally bigger. If guys would quit staring and ogling and making inappropriate comments then females could go topless.
