I dug up an antique locked box and an antique lock box key can I open the locked box with the key and how?

This USUALLY works.

Place the key and the lockbox in a room. Position the key near the lockbox. Save and exit the room. Re-enter the room, click on the key and it should give you an "Open" option on the blue menu that pops up in the lower left hand corner. When you see that option click it and it will open your box and give you Millsbucks.
