Blue smoke usually signifies oil. If it happens mainly on startup normally this means the valve guides are worn, allowing the oil to seep past when the car sits overnight.

Lot's of Chev's do that, the valve guide seals get weak with time and allow oil to be pulled into the cylinders after shut down, that's just your engines way of telling you it's broken in now, they will go for many years like this , some people feel this helps lubricate parts that don't normally see oil, anyway it's nothing to fret about.

Its the valve stem seals very common on GM and you can replace them without removing the heads.Nothing serious but dont let it go on to long it will only cause other problems

Yes the oil is getting into the cycl's throught the valves, Replace the seals and you will get many more years out of it.

you need a valve job if it quits smoking after it starts, mainly valve seals

drive it til its starts to foul the plugs, then fix it, it doesnt hurt anything if you only see it at start up. ive seen them go like that for years without getting any worse, check and change your oil properly and it wont get worse fast

Valve guides . Drive it another 50,000 , then rebuild it.
