Does anyone have any good ideas for a song to say 'goodbye'?
(I don't mind how obvious)

I'm thinking REALLY obvious, ie, "So long, Farewell" from The Sound of Music.
Not break up music, just general, "goodbye" music.

The band Archive, hailing from South London, England, and formed in 1994 have a song off the album You All Look the Same to Me, called "Goodbye" which is unsurpassingly perfect for saying goodbye.
It is so unbelievably good for this subject, in fact, that when my wife's father died in a car wreck in 2004, we played this song at his funeral. It is more of a song geared for saying goodbye to a lover, but we didn't care, as we had recently gotten him into this band (one of my all time favorites,) and he had loved this song, and it was still very appropriate for the situation.
I urge anyone wondering the answer to this Yahoo! Answers question to go out of their way to listen to this song. Its a gem.

That i replace right into a solid seize on the Nursejanet/Cyclist3000 while they have been doing a similar venture some evenings in the past. i will understand going decrease back and vote casting your answer terrific on a open question, yet what's the portion of doing all that to learn some factors? (No pun meant, or replace into it???) Your are a great contributor, and Yahoo needs to initiate paying some interest to what is going on with the reporting and the violations. Now, in answer on your question, I consistently enjoyed the Springsteen song "Bobby Jean," It has that acceptable melancholy experience that a solid-bye song might desire to have.

Time to say Goodbye sung by Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli is the very best one to say goodbye too. Definitely.
