Should the press continue to challenge the truth of what the government says, even during wartime?

Yes the government can and does lie to us. Yes the press should continue to challenge the truth especially in war time.

Lie is such a strong word... but the answer is yes. Now, it would depend on the purpose as to whether that "lie" was appropriate. If we are trying to decieve our enemies, I might condone it. If the lie was for the personal gain of individuals rather than the country as a whole, then it is wrong and treasonous.

It could to save itself but it could by a very bad result for such an Honorable country.

not in this day and age, because the press would raise hell, plus the bloggers would have a field day with the lie.

So to sum it up Bush has not lied to you so grow up he is gone in two years and you will have another shot at losing because your party offers nothing.
