Yes, you are pregnant. No need for the second test, and no real need to go get one from your doctor, they'll do the same thing you did at home. Get a physical exam, tell them you had a home pregnancy test come up postive. False positives on a pregnancy test are almost non-existant. There are a few exceptions to that, but not many, and they are VERY rare. You are more likely to get a false negative than a false positive. If you read the insert that came with your test, it goes into more detail.

Why are you taking prenatal vitamins if you aren't pregnant? How long have you been taking them? I don't think that there's anything in prenatal vitamins that would give you a positive read on a pregnancy test but I could be wrong. Go to your doctor to find out for sure.

No, the prenatal vitamins do not contain the pregnancy hormone that arises in pregnancy. They only provide your body with the added nutrients it needs to help your baby grow and develop properly. Talk to you doctor to be sure you get enough, and not too much of the correct vitamins.
Take another pregnancy test, sometimes you get a false positive, but two positives would be a good sign to see your doctor for a blood test.

No, prenatal vitamins cannot change your pregnancy test to positive. Prenatal vitamins contain vitamins. However, all pregnancy tests detects the presence of the hormone Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HcG) in the urine to determine pregnancy. So, you are most likely pregnant and should go see your OBGYN to verify.

There is no way prenatal vitamins can change a pregnancy test. You had the HCG hormone which is the hormone when you are pregnant. So obviously you are pregnant congrats and good luck

No, vitamins wont change the result in a HPT. This tests for the hcg level which only your body can produce if you are pregnant.
If it were me, I'd take a secondary test just to calm the nerves and if that is positive, then make the call to the Dr.
Best of luck and all the very best!

Prenatal vitamins won't make a pregnancy test be positive. Many women take them just for their hair and nails. To be sure you are pregnant visit your doctor. Until you do treat yourself as if you are pregnant. Congratulations!

I don't believe that prenatal vitamins would make any difference in a pregnancy test. Chances are you are.

congrats, you're pregnant! there are no false positives with pregnancy tests, only false negatives. prenatal vitamins contain the proper amounts of folic acid & other vitamins that your body/baby will need during pregnancy & during breastfeeding...this will not trick your body into thinking it's pregnant. good luck with the pregnancy :)
