Yep-contact your human services department in your local county courthouse. If you can not go there, they must send someone to your home. Food stamps is a federal program:

use the links to see if you're eligible--and the prescreening tool. if you're over income, your human services dept should be able to direct you to temporary help. also talk to local clergy members for help.

Get out your phone book and look up under your county "Social Services" or Child Welfare Services", each state calls it a little different. If you can't find it, call the local court house and ask them for the number, they'll help you out no problem.

You have to apply in person for welfare benefits through the county you live in. Good luck!

type in your state and human services it should tell you where you need to go. I don't think there is anyplace where you can do it online you have to go to the public aid office to apply
