I REALLY need some awesome book ideas for a horror. I can't seem to think of anything that will scare the pants off my readers. Any suggestions?

Demons always scare me and I think that it is not as played out as ghost vampires and other spooky things. I tell you even though the exorcist was put out in "73 it still scares me I can't even look at that girl with out shivers running down my spine the book and movie has gave so many nightmares. It is just the thought that these things are more real than any vamp or werewolf.

The horrors of the human mind are the most frightening, I'd start there. Read some of Stephen Kings stories that aren't just blood and gore(which is many of them actually), or watch movies like The Grudge. Psychological terror is the best!

lat night I had a nightmare and the thing that kept me up all night was that in my dream i want to my moms room and even she was scared she couldn't protect me that still scares me
so i guess write like the begging as a kid have the reader feel like they are that kid like get very attached and then have the horror play out just like my dream where there is nothing anyone can do

Gotta have a serial killer. Make up a theme that makes your serial killer different from other movie ones.
