I have been offered Thomas Jones for TJ HOushmandzadeh, straight up. I need to beef up my RB situation because of current RBs performance. I also need another DEF and there is not much left on FA. What do you think if I added to the deal - Dominic Rhodes for Jacksonvilles DEF? My main trade would be for TJones, my only concern would be will TJones continue to see as many carries or will Cedric Benson start playing more once Chicago secures a playoff spot

Here is my current lineup:
QB - McNabb, Brees
RB - Edgerrin James, Deuce McAllister, Leon Washington, Dominic Rhodes
WR - Larry Fitzgerald, TJ Housh, Donald Driver, Antonio Bryant, Deion Branch
TE - Jason Witten, Marques Colston (WR or TE)
K - Nate Kaeding
DEF - Carolina

We play standard Yahoo scoring and PPR. We play 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 Flex (WR or RB), TE, K, and DEF

Thanks!

Don't do it. I would leave your WRs for now, you have a pretty solid group. Wait at least until Fitzgerald comes back, then you can probably afford to make a move. Edge is struggling but expect his numbers to get better. McAllister has not really been impacted by Bush (he had a bad week last week against a good defense... that happens) but his numbers have been pretty solid all year. I think Washington is gonna be good too. When it's all said and done, I don't think Jones will be much better (if at all) than the rest of the guys you already have. That said, it is definately not worth giving up one your best WR (especially with Larry out) for a RB that is probably gonna be pretty "middle of the road" by the end of the season. Especially if Benson starts to factor in.

I don't know what the scoring for our league is like, but I have been in fantasy football for a long time and have never seen anyone trade for a defense. Scoring for defenses is just too irregular to make it worth while, unless your getting the Bears or Ravens.

Yes, this is a great trade for you. Thomas Jones is a very solid RB, and even if he doesn't have a GREAT season, he's on the bears, so at the very least he is going to have a solid season. TJ Housh, on the other hand, is only the second reciever on a Bengals team that has suddenly lost it's offensive power from last year. Besides which, you have Bryant, Branch, and Driver to start until Fitzgerald gets back from injury which is a solid group of recievers. Not even to mention Colston, who is having a breakout year. And your RBs are not very good right now cause James is having a terrible year and none of the other three are consisten enough. It is a great trade.

Dominic Rhodes is never gonna be a guy you can start this year (Unless Addai gets injured, which is unlikely), so you can trade him for jacksonville if you want. I personally think that carolina is a good enough defense, as even if they let up more points, I think they would get more sacks/turnovers. But if you want to make the rhodes-jacksonville trade its not bad.

I think both trades would be good. Especially since you have Colston at WR, he has been playing unbelivable for someone that was a 7th round pick out of Hofstra(i picked him up in week 2, yay!) With Romo at QB now, Witten will get alot more attention then he did with Bledsoe(romo is more mobile). Thomas Jones has been playing really well, and losing Rhodes won't hurt because Addai could be taking over there(or getting more carries) before the season is over. I think this trade mainly matters on what position you are in, in your standings, if you need to win now, i would do it, if your team is doing well then you should consider not doing it. But all this is just my opinion.

Best one is Ingram & Howling for Tolbert. Primarily if you get points for return yards from Howling. Many say Ingram is going to have a big year. Saints are like Indy though and don't rely heavily on the run. Definately stay away from the Peterson trade and also the Felix Jones trade. With Marion Barber gone Felix is going to have an awesome year. Fred Jackson will probably lose his starting job to CJ Spiller if he doesn't do well early in the year.

I would take the Thomas Jones trade...Edgerrin James is a huge bust and Driver and Branch can survive well on their owm.

P.S. - I am in 1st place in my league.

I look TJ "Hoosyourdaddy" andwould do my best to keep him - he's pretty concsitent...RB's are a premium though.....not sure if Jones is the answer... carolins DEF is horrible - i regret drafting them....
