When I was a preteen I moved from New Jersey to Georgia. That was a big difference moving from the city to the country. I knew nothing about the south, and to top it off I had went to a private school all my life and then had to all of a sudden go to a public school. It was different, but I can't say it was difficult and rough. I adapted in no time, and made new friends. Your a lot older and it should be a bit easier. If you have an open mind about this then you should be fine. Of course it's going to feel different and weird because it's new and different, but that's what makes it exciting!!! Change is scary, but it can be exciting as well!!! You will leave family and friends behind, but you will make so many more friends to add to the friends you have already. You can have the best of both world's in this situation. This is only what you make it. If your positive then everything will be positive. If your negative then everything will seem bad. Don't worry yourself everything will be fine. Good luck!!!

Very difficult. I was forced to move when i was 13 and it was about a month before my school year ended. My mom thought it would be good to move me a few weeks early so I could make some friends before summer. I didn't and it sucked. I ended up with a bad group of friends and a bad attitude. Don't do it if you can help it.

It's very hard! My family bounced me to a different school practically every year. Just do your best to make new friends and keep up with your schoolwork. It's not easy but you can do it! Good Luck.

it's gonna be tough but survivable. when i moved i made one new friend and then another and so on, i went to the school first before attending just so i didn't feel so out of my element...sometimes it is easiest to hook up with someone else who is new...and believe it or not your old friends will fade in your mind alittle and you can still stay in touch on line and stuff...it'll be okay...good luck
