atoms of the same element are refered to as isotopes and they differ only in the number of neutrons in the nucleus.
If the number of protons changes, then it is no longer the same element.
Atoms don't have positrons.
Electrons is a bit tricker answer, because the same atom may have different number of electrons depending on the chemical compound it is in... But I would stick with neutrons.

Neutrons. The number of protons defines an element, thus it cannot change. Since electronsn have negligible mass, the answer is neutrons. We call these atoms with different numbers of neutrons isotopes.

I was going to say electrons, thinking of isotopes. But above and below this answer, they got it right at first try. Of course the neutrons have the significant mass, in comparison to the electrons.
