he says he loves us but i wonder. he has started staying away for longer periods of time. he doesn't do the things to help around the house like he says he will. Ex.: need place fixed on leaky roof, 1.3 year ago said would fix, still isn't fixed and part of ceiling has fallen. says he wants to marry me but won't because i don't want to live in his house because of disgusting neighbors and don't want my kids around them. i want to live here in my house. the one friend i had was a guy i definately am not attracted to and bf said he doesn't even want me to talk to him because he might try something with me. friends with this other guy for 5 years and nothing ever happened! he checks my cell phone. he quit telling me goodbye when he leaves for work in the morning. he won't talk to me about any of this. i just can't understand why he still lives with us but doesn't seem to want to make a real committment. i don't go anywhere or have anymore friends 2 talk 2. need his financial help.

Why not try and get a higher paying job? You should sock away the money and when you have enough you should ask him to leave. The situation obviously is not going to fix itself so you need to.

Maybe you don't believe you deserve any better, but I think your kids deserve to see their mom acting a bit better when it comes to men. You're your kids role model- are you being a good one?
