Are you ready for this? Okay, this is the absolute truth...I swear! One day my husband and I get frisky on the couch. About 30 minutes later we hear a BANGING on our door! I jump up screaming "What???!!!" It's my Dad and brother. I get dressed and answer the door quickly where I find my Dad and bro standing there with guns. My Dad quickly realizes what was going on and asks "Um...where is your phone?" I freeze for a moment and then run to the couch where I find my cordless phone stuck in the cushions...I put it up to my ear and say Hello...My Mom is screaming! "ARE YOU OKAY? ALL I'VE BEEN HEARING IS AHHHHH! UHHHHH! OOOOOOOH!" I thought someone had killed you!" I turn around just as 2 police cars are flying down the hill to my house...Yes...I had accidentally dialed my Mom on speed dial. I ask Mom to THINK about the sounds she was hearing. She bursts out laughing and says "OH NO! TELL THE POLICE YOU ARE OKAY! WE'VE BEEN PASSING THE PHONE AROUND FOR 20 MINUTES TRYING TO FIGURE OUT IF YOU NEEDED US!" The police get a good laugh...they announce over the radio that "MY NAME" was just having sex...my parents are getting a big kick out of this...and I am so embarressed I thought I would just die. The moral to this story: Make sure you know where the phone is at all times. And take your parents off of speed dial.

My husband's mom showed up one afternoon and didnt wait for us to open the door. She came right on in and said "knock knock" He put on his clothes and raced out and it took me a little longer. Come on, we are newlyweds. Does she really think it's ok to just barge in like that? She doesnt come down nearly as often and almost never before calling first now. She doesnt open the door either. Fortunately we were married and it's not a social issue, but I was totally embarred just the same. Now I know why I ended up with two of those little pillows you hang on the dorr that says "Our wedding, do not disturb"

No, but I'm trying to prevent it before it happens. My stepdaughter is in the habit of just coming in the door if we don't answer right away. It annoys me because that's considered rude where I come from, but here no one locks their doors. It's not about security, it's about PRIVACY.

If it ever does happen, he'll have to move in with his daughter and ex. Ugh!
