It is not okay at all, infact; these things only happen in LEDC countries such as Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Terrorists of Pakistan and Afghanistan have betrayed their country, now their country people have to put up with what they have done.

Can you put this simplistic hubris in any context whatsoever?

"Disagreeing" with another's government gives no rights or acceptance to kill anybody. Countries disagree all the time, without anybody dying.

But if, instead, you are talking about war, then civilian casualties are inevitable, though unintentional. The modern armies of Western countries are sophisicated enough to limit civilian casualties, using guided munitions, smart munitions, against identified enemy military targets. It's not 100%, nothing ever will be in the fog of war, but considering the very small number of civilian casualties in, say, the war against Iraq's military, it is light years better than it was.

Also, if you're using Iraq as the example, a simple check of the facts would reveal to you that the majority of civilian deaths are from the terrorist attacks of the Sunnis, the alien terrorists, and now joining the fray, Shiite death squads.

And for Humanist - the Johns Hopkins Study has been thoroughly debunked because it is based on terribly flawed assumptions. Go to Iraqi Body Count [ http://www.iraqbodycount.net/ ] for a reality-based count.

Oh, and they've found at least 260 mass graves and at least 300K dead - victims of Saddam. So, tell me how the people you are now Oh! so concerned about were somehow less important when they were being murdered by Saddam from 1993-2001?

If the world were really that simple, we wouldn't have any problems anywhere.

Why are there people living in the streets when you have extra room in your home? Don't tell me that you don't have a couch or at least a bit of floor where they could sleep. Do you see how easy it is to make someone look like they're doing something wrong when you don't look at all of the facts and just take the childish, simplistic view?

It is not OK to TARGET civilians. Inevitably some will die.

Why not ask the terrorists what they think about that? They seem to be conducting a consistent campaign that targets civilians because of the actions of their government. Ask them why they do it, those scummy cowards.

It would seem that there has been a great forgetting of just _WHO_ it was who crashed passenger airliners into civilian structures in 2001.

The only civs that we on the USA side have killed were killed by accident, or by being in a combat zone, or by NOT BEING CIVILIANS!

It is not OK, but reading the apologists here you would think it is. 'It's not 655,000 civilians dead, it is more like 55,000.' DISGRACEFUL, However, 3000 deaths in New York is somehow the worst attrocity encountered in the history of the world.

From my point of view, every life is just as important.
