I know one character in the film is Samuel L. Jackson playing a pilot for the Air Force or something. The plot of the story is about a boy who's father is also a pilot, and one day, after going out, doesn't come back since he was shot down and captured by, I think, some Chinese or North Korean men. So the son decides to rescue his father with the help of Samuel L. Jackson's character. I watched this movie when I was a kid and really liked it, but I can't seem to figure out what it's called. I've even used Imdb.com, but with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

It's actually Louis Gosset Jr Not Samuel L Jackson... and the movie is called Iron Eagle. Also stars Jason Gedrick

Iron Eagle I am sorry, I wrote " Firefox" they actually ended up making a few sequels and it is Lou Gossit Jr. Pretty dumb movies , but must have made some money they kept putting them out.
