It all depends on the ornament and the yard. I like to see water fountains, benches, birdbaths, and chimes. What I don't like to see is a yard that is so cluttered with ornaments that you can't see the lawn. I really don't like the mamma geese w/a dozen babies, the fake deer, and all the itty bitty things that just amount to clutter. My favorite would be a nice fountain and the worst ever lawn ornament that I have seen is the PINK FLAMINGO.

Different strokes for different folks... I personally hate most ornaments. I am kinda partial to some Asian accents, such as the Thai Budah. I have to confess that I've purchased a couple of turtles that kinda blend with the rocks and landscape. But my sister has a little gnome village in her front yard, my friend's mom has the pink flamingo theme going from the front yard to the bathrooms... I've seen the deer and bunnies around the corner, and most ornament fans show lack of taste, but as I said before, what is good for me, might be tasteless and horrible for others. The one thing that I'm glad now, is that my next door neighbor don't really care for ornaments, he just keeps a flat lawn, no beds and no ornaments... simple like that.

I live in NYC so I haven't seen any in awhile. But I did live in the suburbs as a kid and I've seen people who had their entire lawn dedicated to lawn ornaments. One person has like an entire mini carnival on their lawn, he/she has a mini ferris wheel, a mini tent thing, etc. I don't really remember everything he/she has because it wasn't a neighbor, it was just a house my parents drove past on the way to the mall.

i think lawn gnomes are creepy and horrable, lol. but when it comes to pink flamingo's i REALY hate that **** passionatly as so much so to rearange them in my own sick twisted fassion like a train going on with them or break one's head off and keep it and make the remenents look like one has his head up the others *** like the owner. lawn gnomes can be hung from a news and a tree if you ask me. but in all honesty, i think if you want to personalize your yard DO NOT use extreamly cheesie - overdone - and common lawn ornamints, make it a reflection of self or ones belifes without overdoing it and being dramatic, this means we can do without the massive crusifiction scene in the frontal aria of a house if you arent a monestary or church, its misleading in this way. good luck and happy decorating to you.

Some are actually good. I find when people overdo it and the lawn is cluttered it looks bad.

We have guardians of our garden, strategically placed, albeit battered and worn through time and seasons they have stood sentry duty, we would be sorry to part company with them when it is time to pension them off.
