I agree with you. i don't think either one is more intolerant than the other. Every race has bigotry towards another race for whatever reason. I'm glad I'm not around just black people or white people or hispanic people all the time. And I really don't those people that are bigots would want that either. They would still find something wrong with their own people because it's just the way society is...finding out what's wrong with this person instead of what's good.

from what i've seen, i would have to say blacks.
i say that from experience. in my neighborhood which is mostly white, blacks come into it all the time to the wal marts, grocery stores, movie theatres, and etc and are barely even noticed much less harrassed.
yet i had a locksmith job for two years. the locksmith i worked for had a shop in the inner city area. within the time i worked there, i was beaten up 4 times, had my truck tires flattened and windows smashed with all my tools stolen and the word "cracker" and "honkey" spray painted on both doors. i heard every racial slur in the book, i was literally spit on several times, many times they would give me the "throat slit" hand gesture, i was taunted by a black kid imitating "white" voices and asking me where mayberry is while his buddies were chuckling and high fiving each other, and the last straw was when i had a gun pointed in my face and was told if i ever bring my "white ***" to their neighborhood again, i was going to be shot. day by day i lived in fear and never saw so much hatred in my life.
the people who say "whites are more racist" are basing that on what hollywood, the media, and schools tell them. i lived it and saw it with my own two eyes.

There's both Black and White racists. I've seen a lot of both. There are also Hispanic racists (and those that aren't, like me). My husband is White, and he's experienced Black racism plenty of times, and I've known Black people who have experienced White racism too. I'd say that people of any race are capable of either racism or racial tolerance.

Stop trying to classify a whole race as intollerant. Depends on individuals, backgrounds, social status and life experiences.

it depends on the individual.
hopefully, it will matter less and less as ethnicities intermingle (socially and genetically), and whites become a smaller percentage of society. Once no single group is dominant, maybe things like respect and tolerance will become universal.

In the past I think it was whites but now I think it is blacks. They are bitter about the slavery issue and I don't blame them although it irks me that they group us northerners in there just because we're white when we fought to free them.

i think it depend's on whose turf you're in. If you are the only white guy in a black community, you'd get the same strange looks as if you were the only black person in a white only zone. I think socioeconomic differences are stronger than skin color differences.

I think your absolutely correct. Each race has their bigots. I don't think that one race has more than the other. Hate seems to be in equal value around here.
